Yorkshire House, Liverpool re-opens offering quality office space in a prime business location

11 June 2007

Yorkshire House on Chapel Street in Liverpool city centre has re-opened its doors this week after a ££2 million refurbishment.

Originally built in 1926, the elegant limestone building - originally the headquarters of the Yorkshire Building Society - had been unoccupied for some years until it was acquired in spring 2006 by a development partnership comprising Arrowcroft, Faircroft and Ethel Austin Properties.

Keen to give the beautiful landmark building a new lease of life the development partnership went on to totally refurbish the property and has now created 25,000sq ft of quality office space.

The refurbishment of the property - that commenced in mid June 2006 – has included an extensive and sensitive renovation to the interior of the building to create contemporary office accommodation throughout and the premises have been additionally complemented by a new penthouse suite that offers superb views over the city and Liverpool’s famous Waterfront.

Spanning over seven floors the Yorkshire House provides high specification office suites with floor areas available from 1, 585 sq ft to 3,332 sq ft.

Other features include new sub basement parking for 14 cars; new passenger lifts from the sub basement parking to the seventh floor, comfort cooling throughout and fully automated WC suites. The premises are also fully DDA compliant.

Yorkshire House is situated at the core of Liverpool’s commercial district, close to Old Hall Street with easy access to the Moorfields Merseyrail Station and James Street station, both just a short walk away. Liverpool Lime Street station is only five minutes by taxi and John Lennon Airport is easily reached by car within 20 minutes.

Chapel Street is also ideally situated for the many stylish restaurants, bars and cafes in the area as well as being a short distance from the central retails district, the Albert Dock and the new Liverpool One retail area.
