HWP Help MYA To Open Up The Door
Known as "Liverpool's busiest commercial agents", Hitchcock Wright &
Partners (HWP) is working alongside the Merseyside Youth Association (MYA)
charity to open up The Door café/restaurant in Hanover Street.
Situated in the middle of the Paradise Street Development Scheme and located
between the BBC Radio Merseyside and the Herbert's of Liverpool
developments, The Door will be a Liverpool City Centre youth resource that
will also house the 500 sq ft ground floor space for the trendy new coffee
shop/restaurant.
HWP have also leased out part of The Door building to Connexions, enabling
MYA to offer The Door as an informal one stop shop for Liverpool's young
people to get advice, job hunt and get a healthy bite to eat at the same
time.
The café/restaurant will run as part of The Door to provide a welcoming
environment that whilst being open to everyone, will when completed supply
young people with an informal city centre base in which to meet and an
important contact point for young people to access the various advice and
information services of MYA and Connexions.
HWP are currently are looking to attract an operator to run The Door
café/restaurant and make the most out of what will be a fantastic city
centre location, when the refurbishment is completed at the end of March
2006.
The Door Café/restaurant is being refurbished by Team a Go Go, who are
working to create a trendy but relaxing space that will appeal to
Liverpool's young crowd.
The Door's refurbishment will be the first completed project for the
Paradise Street Development Association, the organisation responsible for
the rejuvenation of the Paradise Street area.
